Purple Rugs

Deep shades like amethyst and plum create a luxurious, dramatic, and sophisticated atmosphere. Lighter shades such as lilac and lavender evoke serenity, tranquility, and a soft, airy feel.

Neutral colors like gray, cream, white, and black allow the purple to stand out and are generally recommended. For bold contrast, use complementary colors like gold, yellow, and green, or cool tones like navy blue for a serene look.

Durable materials like wool and synthetic fibers such as nylon and polyester are ideal for high-traffic areas. Washable rugs with a low pile or looped construction are also well-suited for homes with kids and pets due to their ease of cleaning.

Odors from dyes or shipping will typically dissipate within a week once the rug is unrolled and aired out. To remove wrinkles, roll the rug reverse-side out for a few days, and normal wool shedding will subside after about 20-25 vacuums.

In the living room, the rug should be large enough to anchor all key furniture by at least having the front legs on it. In the dining room, the rug must be large enough to accommodate the table and chairs even when they are pulled out.
