Maintaining synthetic fiber rugs involves the following steps:
- Start by blotting out as much of the stain as possible using a dry cotton or white paper towel.
- Use a blunt instrument to scrape off any food or debris gently.
- Create a mixture of a minimal amount of dish soap with a cup of cold water. Employ this mix and a clean sponge to remove the remainder of the stain.
- After cleaning, blot the area with a dry towel to remove any excess moisture.

A rectangular Persian-style area rug with a deep navy blue field dominated by a large hexagonal central medallion in sky blue and soft blush pink, filled with intricate floral and botanical motifs. The medallion is framed by bold rust-red geometric and floral arabesques that radiate outward. A wide ornate border in rust-red and ivory runs the full perimeter, filled with repeating floral scrollwork and vine patterns. Accent colors of sage green, peach, and cream appear throughout the field and border. The surface has a smooth, low-pile machine-woven texture with an intentionally distressed, slightly faded quality on portions of the border, giving it an antique heirloom appearance. Edges are cleanly bound with no fringe or tassels.
