Follow these steps to keep your shag rugs looking their best:
- Use a wool-approved product in combination with spray extraction for cleaning.
- Note that shedding is a normal occurrence for shag rugs and will decrease over time. Avoid pulling the yarn out as it may cause rug damage.

A rectangular shag area rug with a high-contrast black and white geometric design on a cream-white field. Large solid matte black squares occupy the four corners and appear along the top and bottom edges, creating a bold graphic border effect. Between and around these black blocks, the cream-white field features rows of horizontal textured stripes — slightly raised, tone-on-tone white lines that add tactile depth and visual rhythm. The pile is visibly thick and fluffy throughout, with the black sections appearing as dense, velvety cut pile and the white sections showing the same plush shag texture with subtle stripe relief.
