A rectangular hand-woven wool flatweave rug with a bold allover ikat diamond pattern. The dominant color is a vivid chartreuse yellow, covering roughly half the surface in fluid, irregular diamond and ogee shapes with slightly blurred, painterly edges characteristic of ikat dyeing. These yellow shapes are outlined and separated by earthy taupe-brown forms that create the lattice framework of the pattern. Soft cream and ivory negative space fills the interior of the diamond motifs, giving the design an open, airy quality. The surface is flat and low-profile with a tight woven texture and no visible pile. Edges are cleanly bound with no fringe or tassels.
