- Use a dry cotton or white paper towel to blot out as much of the stain as possible.
- Gently scrape off any food or debris using a dull instrument.
- Prepare a cleaning solution of a small amount of dish soap mixed with a cup of cold water. With a clean sponge and this soap mixture, clean the remainder of the stain and allow it to dry.
- For comprehensive cleaning, apply a mixture of soap and water and spray over the rug, then rinse off using a garden hose.

A rectangular flatweave area rug with an all-over Moroccan trellis / ogee lattice pattern. The base is a soft warm cream (off-white), and the trellis motif is traced in a slightly deeper warm beige tone, creating a tone-on-tone effect with gentle contrast.
