A rectangular area rug with a classic Persian medallion layout on a warm beige and cream ground. The central medallion is an ornate starburst/rosette form in muted brown, taupe, and soft charcoal gray, surrounded by dense floral scrollwork and arabesques that fill the field. The entire surface has a heavily distressed, faded finish — colors appear sun-bleached and worn, as if the rug has aged gracefully over many years. A multi-layered border frames the design with repeating geometric and floral motifs in gray-blue and brown tones. The pile is very low and smooth, giving the surface a flat, printed-like appearance with subtle texture. Edges are cleanly bound with no fringe or tassels. The overall impression is of a well-loved antique Persian rug rendered in soft, warm earth tones.
