Maintaining synthetic fiber rugs involves the following steps:
- Start by blotting out as much of the stain as possible using a dry cotton or white paper towel.
- Use a blunt instrument to scrape off any food or debris gently.
- Create a mixture of a minimal amount of dish soap with a cup of cold water. Employ this mix and a clean sponge to remove the remainder of the stain.
- After cleaning, blot the area with a dry towel to remove any excess moisture.

A rectangular area rug with a warm cream/off-white base and soft charcoal gray geometric motifs arranged in distinct horizontal bands across the entire field. Each band features a different repeating pattern: a diamond lattice grid at the top, followed by rows of small chevron zigzags, then delicate dotted chain lines, then a trellis/crosshatch band, and repeating variations throughout. The motifs are rendered in a single gray tone against the cream ground, giving the rug a tone-on-tone quality with subtle contrast. The surface has a low-to-medium pile with a slightly textured, woven appearance. Edges are cleanly bound with no fringe or tassels. The overall impression is of a classic Moroccan Berber-inspired flatweave with soft, neutral tones and intricate but orderly geometric detailing.
