Surrounding the medallion, the field is populated with smaller floral sprays and vine scrollwork in red, pink, yellow, gold, and teal against the ivory ground. The rug is framed by multiple layered borders — a narrow inner border and a wider outer border — both featuring repeating floral and geometric motifs in the same rich multicolor palette.
