A rectangular hand woven cotton flatweave rug with a bold ikat floral pattern. The background is a warm medium brown with visible woven texture. Large, fluid floral medallion motifs in crimson red with creamy white centers are arranged symmetrically down the vertical axis, surrounded by swirling botanical scrollwork and leaf-like forms. Golden yellow accents punctuate the design throughout, appearing in smaller floral details and curling vine motifs. The ikat technique creates characteristic blurred, feathered edges on all the motifs — colors bleed softly into each other rather than having hard outlines. The overall surface is flat and low with a slightly textured hand woven appearance. Edges appear bound with no fringe or tassels.
