A rectangular hand-knotted wool area rug with an allover traditional Persian floral scrollwork pattern. The base color is a warm creamy beige-ivory, with the pattern rendered in soft tones of tan, taupe, muted gray, dusty blue, and pale gold-yellow. The design features dense, interlocking floral and vine motifs covering the entire field, with a subtle border framing the edges. The lower portion of the rug has a more distressed, faded appearance — the pattern becomes less defined and the colors wash out toward a soft gray-taupe, giving the rug an antique, worn quality. The pile is medium height with a smooth, slightly textured wool surface. Short fringe edges (approximately 0.5 inches) run along the two short ends in a natural cream-beige tone. The overall impression is of a softly aged, museum-quality Persian rug in a quiet, neutral palette.
