Product Care
Product Care
Follow these steps to keep your shag rugs looking their best:
- Use a wool-approved product in combination with spray extraction for cleaning.
- Note that shedding is a normal occurrence for shag rugs and will decrease over time. Avoid pulling the yarn out as it may cause rug damage.
- For effective cleaning, opt for canister vacuums without a beater bar. Vacuums that have beater bars and/or brushes, or those set too low, may potentially damage the rug's surface.

Soft horizontal stripes in white and cool gray give the Mette rug a calm, modern look — with 1.18" of plush polyester pile that feels as good as it looks.
- Soft abstract broken-stripe pattern in white, gray, and slate blue
- Plush 1.18" pile height — genuinely cushiony underfoot
- Machine woven 100% polyester — durable and easy to maintain
- Neutral palette pairs with virtually any furniture or wall color
- 1.22" total thickness adds real underfoot comfort
- Modern minimalist aesthetic suits contemporary and transitional spaces
A rectangular area rug with a dominant white/off-white base covered in soft, irregular horizontal broken stripes in cool gray and faint slate blue. The stripes are not rigid or geometric — they have an organic, hand-brushed quality, varying slightly in width and intensity as they flow across the surface, creating a watercolor or wave-like impression. The pile is visibly thick and plush, with a soft, slightly fluffy texture that catches light gently. There is no fringe, no border, and no medallion — the pattern is allover and edge-to-edge. The overall impression is of a calm, minimalist abstract textile in a cool neutral palette.

When selecting a living room rug, choose one that anchors your furniture by either placing all the legs on the rug or just the front legs, which helps define the seating area and enhances the room’s acoustics.
Dining Room
When selecting a dining room rug, choose one large enough to fit under the table and chairs, ensuring that when the chairs are pulled out, they remain on the rug for a balanced look.
Bedroom
In the bedroom, opt for a rug that extends under the bed, providing a soft surface to step onto when getting out of bed and creating a cozy atmosphere.
Kitchen
For the kitchen, select a rug to place in front of the sink or under the countertops, offering comfort while standing and adding warmth to the space.
Bathroom
Choose a bathroom rug that fits comfortably in front of the sink or shower, providing a soft and absorbent surface for stepping out. For larger bathrooms, consider a rug that covers more area to enhance warmth and comfort.
Outdoor
For outdoor spaces like patios or decks, select a rug that complements the size of your seating area, leaving enough space around the furniture to create a well-defined and inviting look. Opt for weather-resistant materials to ensure durability.
