A rectangular area rug with a large central Persian medallion rendered in soft gray, dusty pink, and warm brown tones, surrounded by intricate floral scrollwork filling the field in muted multicolor hues of pink, orange, gold, and cream. The border is deep navy blue with ornate repeating motifs in contrasting warm tones. The entire rug has a heavily distressed, faded finish — colors appear sun-washed and worn as if aged over decades, with the center appearing lighter and more bleached than the edges. The surface is smooth and flat with a very low pile, machine-woven with a tight, even texture. Edges are cleanly bound with no fringe or tassels. The overall impression is of a richly colored antique Persian rug that has been beautifully worn in.
