A rectangular hand-knotted wool rug with a dramatic high-low texture. The design features three wide vertical columns of thick, shaggy cream-colored wool pile, separated and framed by sections of open black-and-cream woven grid background — creating a bold striped effect through texture contrast rather than flat color alone. The shaggy pile columns have a slightly looped, tousled appearance. The woven grid sections are a tight black-and-natural-cream weave, visible between the pile clusters. Along the bottom edge, long cream wool tassels hang approximately 4 inches, evenly spaced. The overall palette is cream and black with warm natural beige undertones. The rug has a handcrafted, artisanal appearance with slight irregularities that add to its character.
