A rectangular hand-knotted wool rug with a deep navy blue central field featuring a large, ornate Persian-style floral medallion in crimson red, burnt orange, golden yellow, and teal. The medallion is surrounded by scrolling floral and leaf motifs in the same jewel-toned palette. An elaborate multi-layered border frames the field, with a dominant band of golden yellow filled with repeating floral rosettes and a narrow crimson inner guard border. The entire rug has a heavily distressed, faded finish — patches of the pile appear worn away, revealing lighter tones beneath, giving it an antique, time-worn appearance. The pile is very low and flat. Short ivory/natural fringe runs along both short ends of the rug.
