To keep your wool or cotton rugs in top shape, follow these steps:
- Begin by blotting any stains with a dry cotton or white paper towel.
- Use a blunt instrument to carefully remove food or debris.
- Combine a minimal quantity of dish soap with a cup of cold water. Use this solution and a clean sponge to gently clean the stain. Avoid over-saturating the rug. Blot the cleaned area dry with a towel.
- Keep away from excessive heat or agitation as wool and cotton rugs are susceptible to bleeding and staining.
- For the best results, we advise a yearly professional cleaning.

A rectangular hand-knotted wool area rug with a warm cream/ivory central field scattered with traditional Persian-style floral medallions, geometric star motifs, and small botanical accents rendered in deep crimson red and soft gold. The field is framed by a wide, ornate deep red border filled with a continuous floral vine scroll pattern in cream and gold. A narrow cream inner guard stripe separates the field from the border. The pile is very low and tight, giving the surface a smooth, slightly textured appearance with visible knot structure. Short cream-colored fringe runs along both short ends of the rug. The overall impression is of a classic antique-style Indian or Persian rug with a light, airy ground and bold red framing.
