- Use a dry cotton or white paper towel to blot out as much of the stain as possible.
- Gently scrape off any food or debris using a dull instrument.
- Prepare a cleaning solution of a small amount of dish soap mixed with a cup of cold water. With a clean sponge and this soap mixture, clean the remainder of the stain and allow it to dry.
- For comprehensive cleaning, apply a mixture of soap and water and spray over the rug, then rinse off using a garden hose.

A rectangular flatweave area rug with a warm sandy beige ground and cream-toned geometric tribal pattern. The central field features a vertical column of nested diamond shapes in graduated sizes, each outlined with fine cream lines and filled with smaller diamond and dot motifs. Flanking the central column are repeating zigzag chevron-like border bands running the full length of the rug on both sides. The outermost edge has a narrow stepped geometric border. The overall color palette is tonal — warm beige, tan, and soft cream — with no high-contrast colors. The surface is smooth and flat with a tight machine-woven texture, no pile, and clean bound edges with no fringe or tassels. The visual impression is of a natural jute or sisal rug with a tribal southwestern character.
