Maintaining synthetic fiber rugs involves the following steps:
- Start by blotting out as much of the stain as possible using a dry cotton or white paper towel.
- Use a blunt instrument to scrape off any food or debris gently.
- Create a mixture of a minimal amount of dish soap with a cup of cold water. Employ this mix and a clean sponge to remove the remainder of the stain.
- After cleaning, blot the area with a dry towel to remove any excess moisture.

A rectangular low-pile area rug with an allover abstract, distressed brushstroke pattern. The base is a mix of cool medium gray and faded white, with large irregular splashes and streaks of burnt orange and rust covering roughly a third of the surface. Deep burgundy and crimson accents appear as shorter, more fragmented marks scattered throughout. The pattern has a painterly, watercolor-like quality with soft edges and intentional fading that gives it a worn, artistic look. The surface is smooth and flat with a tight machine-woven texture and no visible pile height. Edges are cleanly bound with no fringe or tassels.
