- Use a dry cotton or white paper towel to blot out as much of the stain as possible.
- Gently scrape off any food or debris using a dull instrument.
- Prepare a cleaning solution of a small amount of dish soap mixed with a cup of cold water. With a clean sponge and this soap mixture, clean the remainder of the stain and allow it to dry.
- For comprehensive cleaning, apply a mixture of soap and water and spray over the rug, then rinse off using a garden hose.

A rectangular flatweave rug with a cool blue and beige color palette. The surface is covered in dense horizontal striped texture created by alternating blue and natural/beige woven threads. A large, subtle diamond or hourglass-shaped geometric motif is formed in the center by areas where the beige/cream tones dominate, creating a tone-on-tone effect against the blue field. The pattern is symmetrical — mirrored top and bottom — with the diamond shape spanning roughly the middle third of the rug vertically. The edges are bound with no fringe or tassels.
