A rectangular hand-knotted wool rug with a soft, dusty light blue field as the dominant background. Running vertically down the center are four large geometric medallions in a column formation, each featuring intricate octagonal frames filled with smaller floral and diamond sub-motifs in amber gold, rust red, navy blue accents, and cream. The surrounding field is filled with smaller scattered floral and geometric filler motifs in olive green, brown, and gold. A wide, richly detailed border frames the entire rug in deep olive brown, featuring repeating geometric and floral vine patterns in gold, rust, and cream. A secondary narrow inner border in cream separates the field from the main border. The pile is low and tight, giving the surface a smooth, dense appearance with visible hand-knotted texture. Short cream-colored fringe runs along both short ends of the rug. The overall impression is of a warm, aged, artisan-crafted traditional Persian carpet.
