- Start by blotting out as much of the stain as possible using a dry cotton or white paper towel.
- Use a blunt instrument to scrape off any food or debris gently.
- Create a mixture of a minimal amount of dish soap with a cup of cold water. Employ this mix and a clean sponge to remove the remainder of the stain.
- After cleaning, blot the area with a dry towel to remove any excess moisture.

A rectangular area rug with a classic Persian-style central medallion design rendered in a distressed, faded finish. The base field is a washed cool gray with deep charcoal ornate medallion motifs at the center, surrounded by intricate traditional scrollwork and a multi-layered border in matching charcoal and gray tones. The overall surface has a deliberately worn, overdyed appearance — as if the rug has been sun-faded over decades — with the pattern softly bleeding into the background rather than appearing crisp.
