A rectangular hand-knotted wool area rug with a rich, warm medium-brown field completely covered in an intricate allover Persian floral and scrolling vine pattern. The field motifs include stylized flowers, curling acanthus leaves, and delicate botanical sprays rendered in cream, golden beige, and soft sage green against the brown ground. A wide cream border frames the entire rug, filled with its own detailed repeating floral and vine scroll design in brown and gold tones. A narrower inner guard border in brown separates the field from the main border. Short ivory fringe runs along both short ends of the rug.
