- Start by blotting out as much of the stain as possible using a dry cotton or white paper towel.
- Use a blunt instrument to scrape off any food or debris gently.
- Create a mixture of a minimal amount of dish soap with a cup of cold water. Employ this mix and a clean sponge to remove the remainder of the stain.
- After cleaning, blot the area with a dry towel to remove any excess moisture.

A rectangular low-pile area rug with an allover abstract watercolor-style design. The color palette consists of deep navy blue, medium aqua/sky blue, soft cool gray, and bright white, distributed in large irregular cloud-like patches that bleed and blend into one another across the entire surface. The navy is most concentrated in the upper portion and right side, while aqua and light blue dominate the lower left and center. White appears as irregular broken patches throughout, giving a distressed, faded, or worn-paint effect. The texture is smooth and flat with a tight machine-woven surface and a very low pile of approximately 0.2 inches. Edges are cleanly bound with no fringe or tassels. The overall impression is of a modern abstract painting rendered in cool ocean tones — dynamic yet calm.
