A rectangular handmade wool area rug with a softly faded, distressed Persian design. The field is a warm sandy beige-tan with an allover pattern of intricate floral scrollwork and small geometric motifs in muted gray, warm brown, and golden tan. A central medallion in dark gray-brown anchors the composition, surrounded by a secondary diamond-shaped medallion frame. The rug is enclosed by a multi-step border featuring repeating floral and geometric motifs in gray and tan on a slightly darker beige ground. The pile is very low and tight, giving the surface a flat, woven appearance with subtle texture. Edges are cleanly bound with no fringe or tassels.
