A rectangular handmade wool area rug with a medium gray field covered in a dense all-over Oriental floral and medallion pattern. The motifs include large stylized floral medallions, scrolling vines, and botanical leaf forms rendered in navy blue, warm brown, mustard gold, cream, and slate blue against the gray ground. The rug features multiple concentric borders — an inner narrow geometric band and a wider outer border filled with repeating floral and rosette motifs in coordinating slate blue, gray, and gold tones.
