A rectangular machine-woven rug with a classic Persian medallion layout. The field is a soft, smoky mid-gray with a warm taupe undertone, featuring an elaborate central star medallion surrounded by intricate floral and scrollwork motifs in cream, charcoal, and dark gray. The medallion is framed by a large arched cartouche that fills most of the field. A multi-layered ornate border runs along all four edges, composed of repeating floral vine patterns in dark charcoal and cream on a gray ground. The entire surface has a deliberately distressed, faded finish — colors appear softly washed and aged rather than crisp or saturated. The pile is extremely low and flat, giving the surface a smooth, woven appearance with subtle texture. Edges are cleanly bound with no fringe or tassels.
