Maintaining synthetic fiber rugs involves the following steps:
- Start by blotting out as much of the stain as possible using a dry cotton or white paper towel.
- Use a blunt instrument to scrape off any food or debris gently.
- Create a mixture of a minimal amount of dish soap with a cup of cold water. Employ this mix and a clean sponge to remove the remainder of the stain.
- After cleaning, blot the area with a dry towel to remove any excess moisture.

A rectangular machine-woven area rug with a classic Persian medallion layout. The field is a warm beige-taupe base featuring a large central medallion composed of intricate floral scrollwork, acanthus leaves, and symmetrical botanical motifs rendered in medium gray and charcoal. The medallion is surrounded by an allover field of smaller floral and vine details in the same muted gray tones. A multi-layered border frames the entire rug — an inner narrow charcoal guard stripe, a wide cream-and-gray floral main border with repeating palmette and vine motifs, and a thin outer guard stripe. The pile is very low and smooth with a flat machine-woven surface texture. Edges are cleanly bound with no fringe or tassels.
