- Use a dry cotton or white paper towel to blot out as much of the stain as possible.
- Gently scrape off any food or debris using a dull instrument.
- Prepare a cleaning solution of a small amount of dish soap mixed with a cup of cold water. With a clean sponge and this soap mixture, clean the remainder of the stain and allow it to dry.
- For comprehensive cleaning, apply a mixture of soap and water and spray over the rug, then rinse off using a garden hose.

A rectangular flatweave area rug in warm sandy beige with soft brown geometric patterning throughout. The field is divided into vertical stripe columns by thin dark brown lines, with small ladder-like geometric dashes running along each stripe. Horizontal band borders appear at the top, middle, and bottom of the rug, filled with repeating chevron zigzag motifs and small square geometric block clusters in a slightly darker tan-brown tone. The overall effect closely mimics the woven texture of natural jute. The rug has short fringe along the top and bottom short edges in a matching natural beige tone.
