A rectangular hand-woven wool flatweave rug with a dominant deep red field covering the majority of the surface. At the center sits a large layered diamond medallion with concentric geometric shapes in golden yellow, teal blue, cream, and a small red center motif. Flanking the medallion are four smaller navy blue diamond accent motifs. The rug is framed by multiple horizontal border bands in deep navy blue filled with repeating small geometric star and cross motifs in cream, yellow, and red. The overall texture is flat and tightly woven with visible weave structure. The edges finish with short gray-toned fringe approximately 2.5 inches long. The overall impression is bold, warm, and tribal — reminiscent of Navajo or Kilim weaving traditions.
