Maintaining synthetic fiber rugs involves the following steps:
- Start by blotting out as much of the stain as possible using a dry cotton or white paper towel.
- Use a blunt instrument to scrape off any food or debris gently.
- Create a mixture of a minimal amount of dish soap with a cup of cold water. Employ this mix and a clean sponge to remove the remainder of the stain.
- After cleaning, blot the area with a dry towel to remove any excess moisture.

A rectangular machine-woven area rug with an allover distressed Persian trellis and floral lattice pattern. The base is a deep charcoal gray with warm mid-gray tones, overlaid with a repeating diamond-trellis grid filled with small stylized floral and botanical motifs in golden yellow, burnt orange, dusty blue, and warm beige. A multi-line cream and beige border frames the field with a traditional ornamental inner guard stripe. The surface has a deliberately faded, worn appearance giving it an antique quality. The pile is medium-low and smooth in texture. Short cream-colored fringe runs along both short ends of the rug. Overall impression is of a richly patterned, earthy-toned vintage Persian rug with warm multicolor accents.
