A rectangular hand-knotted rug with a deep near-black ground (approximately 55% of the surface) featuring an allover tribal ikat pattern with loosely symmetrical motifs arranged vertically across the field. The motifs include stylized medallion-like forms, elongated vase shapes, and abstract folk art elements rendered in vivid crimson red, cobalt blue, lime/chartreuse green, ivory white, and small accents of purple and teal. The pattern has a deliberately distressed, painterly quality — edges of motifs bleed slightly into the dark ground, giving an aged or hand-painted feel.
