Maintaining synthetic fiber rugs involves the following steps:
- Start by blotting out as much of the stain as possible using a dry cotton or white paper towel.
- Use a blunt instrument to scrape off any food or debris gently.
- Create a mixture of a minimal amount of dish soap with a cup of cold water. Employ this mix and a clean sponge to remove the remainder of the stain.
- After cleaning, blot the area with a dry towel to remove any excess moisture.

A rectangular area rug with a cream/off-white base and bold black abstract pattern. The design features two large circular forms — one dominating the center and one partially visible at the bottom — each filled with dense, slightly irregular vertical black line stripes that evoke a hand-drawn quality. Above the central circle, a wide arching band filled with dense horizontal black stripes mirrors the composition at the top edge. The overall effect is a symmetrical hourglass or double-circle motif in high-contrast black on cream. The surface has a medium pile with a smooth machine-woven texture.
