A rectangular area rug with a distressed vintage Persian design. The base color is a warm medium brown, heavily washed and faded to create a sun-bleached, antique appearance. A large ornate central medallion in cream and ivory sits at the center, featuring a star-burst geometric core surrounded by delicate floral and scrollwork detailing. The field around the medallion is filled with faded floral and vine motifs in cream and tan tones against the brown ground. Multiple layered borders frame the design — the outermost border is a deeper brown with cream scrollwork, and inner borders feature repeating geometric and floral bands. The pile is low and smooth with a machine-woven surface texture. Edges are cleanly bound with no fringe or tassels. The overall impression is of a well-loved heirloom rug in warm, neutral earth tones.
