A rectangular traditional area rug with a deep solid black field dominating the interior. At the center sits a large oval cream and ivory floral medallion filled with densely rendered roses, botanicals, and scrolling acanthus leaves in cream, gold, soft green, and muted red tones. The black field surrounding the medallion features additional scattered floral sprays in the same warm palette. A wide ivory/cream border frames the entire rug, filled with a continuous floral vine pattern and four prominent corner rosette cartouches. The border is further defined by narrow inner and outer guard stripes in gold and gray. The pile appears smooth and medium-height with a machine-woven or tufted surface texture. Edges are cleanly bound with no fringe or tassels. The overall impression is of a formal, ornate Aubusson or Persian-inspired design with high contrast and rich detail.
