- Use a dry cotton or white paper towel to blot out as much of the stain as possible.
- Gently scrape off any food or debris using a dull instrument.
- Prepare a cleaning solution of a small amount of dish soap mixed with a cup of cold water. With a clean sponge and this soap mixture, clean the remainder of the stain and allow it to dry.
- For comprehensive cleaning, apply a mixture of soap and water and spray over the rug, then rinse off using a garden hose.

A rectangular flatweave area rug with a deep denim blue field featuring a large central diamond medallion composed of nested geometric shapes in cream and light gray. The medallion is surrounded by smaller diamond and dot motifs scattered across the blue field. A wide multi-layered border frames the entire rug — the inner border is cream with intricate Greek key and diamond geometric detailing, followed by a medium gray band with repeating square and diamond motifs, and an outer border with corner medallion accents.
