A rectangular area rug with a heavily distressed Persian medallion design. The field is dominated by dusty slate blue with a large, ornate central medallion rendered in cream, rust, and burgundy, surrounded by dense allover floral and scrollwork motifs in rust, burnt orange, burgundy, and soft cream. The pattern has a faded, worn appearance throughout — colors bleed softly into one another as if aged by sunlight. A multi-layered border frames the field: an inner cream guard stripe, a wide blue floral border, and a narrow outer edge in muted rust-beige. The surface is smooth and low-pile with a machine-woven texture. Edges are cleanly bound with no fringe or tassels.
