The rug is lighter in overall color than I anticipated--there's a lot of white and the beige is also light-colored. It's a pretty design and looks great under my dining room table. The fabric has a hint of shine to it, so if you want something really matte, this may not be ideal. Because it's so thin, it's very lightweight. I could comfortably maneuver the 9X 11 myself. It's true to size.
