Maintaining synthetic fiber rugs involves the following steps:
- Start by blotting out as much of the stain as possible using a dry cotton or white paper towel.

- After cleaning, blot the area with a dry towel to remove any excess moisture.

A rectangular traditional Persian-style area rug with a light-to-medium blue field that deepens toward the center. A large, ornate navy blue central medallion with scalloped edges dominates the middle, filled with dense ivory and golden yellow floral scrollwork and a small red center rosette. Surrounding the medallion, the blue field is scattered with smaller floral and botanical motifs in orange, golden yellow, hot pink, and ivory. A wide cream/ivory border frames the entire rug, decorated with repeating floral vine motifs in orange, pink, and blue. The overall surface has a slightly faded, distressed quality giving it an antique feel. The pile is smooth and low, machine-woven with a flat, even texture. Edges are cleanly bound with no fringe or tassels.
