A rectangular vintage-style Persian area rug with a large central medallion in deep burgundy-red, surrounded by an ornate field of faded floral scrollwork in muted red, dusty pink, and soft gray tones. The inner border transitions into a wide band of dusty blue and teal with intricate repeating motifs, and the outermost border is a narrow gray-white geometric frame. The entire surface has a deliberately distressed, faded appearance — as if sun-bleached and aged over time — with colors that bleed softly into one another. The pile is extremely low and flat, giving the surface a smooth, printed-like texture with a machine-woven finish. Edges are cleanly bound with no fringe or tassels.
