Maintaining synthetic fiber rugs involves the following steps:
- Start by blotting out as much of the stain as possible using a dry cotton or white paper towel.
- Use a blunt instrument to scrape off any food or debris gently.
- Create a mixture of a minimal amount of dish soap with a cup of cold water. Employ this mix and a clean sponge to remove the remainder of the stain.
- After cleaning, blot the area with a dry towel to remove any excess moisture.

A rectangular area rug with a classic layered border design. The dominant color is warm cream, filling both the large central field and the outermost border band. The central field features a dense, repeating small diamond lattice pattern in charcoal black on cream. A bold, wide dark charcoal-black band forms the primary inner border, creating strong visual contrast. Between the outer cream border and the dark band, a secondary band features the same small geometric diamond motifs. The outer cream border also carries a repeating geometric diamond pattern in black. The surface has a smooth, machine-woven high-pile texture with a uniform, plush appearance. Edges are cleanly bound with no fringe or tassels. The overall impression is crisp, structured, and classically elegant.
