- Use a dry cotton or white paper towel to blot out as much of the stain as possible.
- Gently scrape off any food or debris using a dull instrument.
- Prepare a cleaning solution of a small amount of dish soap mixed with a cup of cold water. With a clean sponge and this soap mixture, clean the remainder of the stain and allow it to dry.
- For comprehensive cleaning, apply a mixture of soap and water and spray over the rug, then rinse off using a garden hose.

A rectangular hand hooked area rug with a bright ivory/cream base field. The dominant pattern is a classic Moroccan trellis — repeating interlocking quatrefoil shapes formed by flowing ogee curves. The trellis outlines are rendered in deep navy blue with small dark navy knot-like accent dots at each intersection point. A secondary layer of softer medium gray traces the inner lattice lines, adding depth and dimension to the pattern. The pile is medium height with a slightly textured, hand-crafted surface appearance.
