A rectangular hand-woven wool rug with a cream/ivory base and a heathered mid-blue geometric pattern covering approximately 55% of the surface. The design features a repeating allover diamond lattice with nested geometric shapes — each large diamond contains a smaller diamond, then a central medallion motif with stepped Aztec-style detailing. The raised plush pile creates a dimensional, textured surface where the cream areas appear slightly higher and fluffier than the blue sections, giving the rug a subtle relief quality. The border is defined by a continuous geometric stepped frame in blue and cream. All four edges are finished with long (approximately 3.5-inch) twisted cream and blue tassel fringe. The overall impression is bold, globally-inspired, and richly textured — clearly handmade with visible weave variation.
