A rectangular handmade wool area rug in a classic Heriz Persian style. The dominant field is a warm terracotta-red, filled with scrolling floral and leaf motifs in ivory, navy blue, and amber orange. At the center sits a large, bold medallion with a diamond-shaped ivory and navy core, radiating ornate floral and geometric arms. The field is framed by a wide deep navy blue border filled with repeating floral and vine ornamental patterns, flanked by narrow ivory guard stripes. The pile is medium height with a slightly textured, handmade surface appearance. Edges are cleanly bound with no fringe or tassels.
