Theon Area Rug

A coiling black serpent with intricate scale detailing on a crisp white ground — the Theon is a hand-tufted wool rug that doubles as wall-worthy art.

• Hand-tufted from quality wool — plush medium pile at 0.5" thick

• High-contrast black and white palette suits modern and contemporary spaces
• Durable wool construction handles high-traffic areas well
• Cotton backing for stability — use with a rug pad for best results
• Spot clean with water to keep the crisp graphic looking sharp

A rectangular area rug with a stark off-white/cream background and a single large black serpent as the sole design element, coiling and winding across the entire rug surface from top to bottom. The snake's body is rendered in deep black with an intricate mosaic-like scale pattern — small irregular white gaps within the black body create a textured, almost tile-like effect that gives the serpent visual depth and dimension. The snake's head points upward at the top left, with the body looping in three large S-curves down to a tapered tail at the bottom right. The background is clean and unadorned — no border, no secondary motifs. The pile is medium height with a smooth, even tufted surface. Edges are cleanly bound with no fringe or tassels. The overall impression is graphic, bold, and art-forward — like a woodblock print rendered in wool.
