Follow these steps to keep your shag rugs looking their best:
- Use a wool-approved product in combination with spray extraction for cleaning.
- Note that shedding is a normal occurrence for shag rugs and will decrease over time. Avoid pulling the yarn out as it may cause rug damage.
- For effective cleaning, opt for canister vacuums without a beater bar. Vacuums that have beater bars and/or brushes, or those set too low, may potentially damage the rug's surface.
